Scotshirts is a second-generation family-run garment printing and embroidery business based in Edinburgh. It supplies decorated clothing to businesses, schools, clubs, charities and retailers across the UK. Its garment decoration is carried out in-house, covering screen printing, embroidery, direct to garment printing and direct to film printing.

Scotshirts describes it as suitable for photographic artwork, gradients and fine detail, and says it works most effectively on 100% cotton. Its screen printing service covers larger volumes and bold designs, including event clothing, uniforms and retail ranges.

The embroidery service includes logo digitisation, thread colour selection, positioning, layout proofs and stitch previews. Vector artwork such as AI or EPS is preferred, although high-resolution images can also be used. The in-house design team assists with layouts, colour choices and personalisation, with designs approved before production.

Ordering and turnaround

Published minimums depend on the service: DTG has no minimum, embroidered headwear starts at 20 units, and many promotional products start at 50 units. Scotshirts lists standard workwear turnaround as 7 working days and merchandise turnaround as typically 5 to 7 working days, varying by item and quantity. Express options are available.
